FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CouponNetwork.com and YourBucks® Rewards Launched To Help Consumers Save on Their Weekly Grocery Bill
Focused Exclusively on High Value Grocery Savings
ST. PETERSBURG, FL. (MAY 2, 2011), Catalina Corporation today announced the nationwide debut of CouponNetwork.com, a website designed to help a fast-growing crowd of savings-focused shoppers connect with their favorite grocery brands and retailers online.
In addition to printable online coupons, CouponNetwork.com is the exclusive online destination for YourBucks® rewards.
- YourBucks® rewards are coupons for dollars off anything the store.
- Like cash, YourBucks® rewards can be used to purchase anything in the store. YourBucks® are not subject to minimums or complicated restrictions. For example, the shopper can simply exchange a $2.00 YourBuck® to buy a $2.00 item.
- YourBucks® rewards are specifically exciting to shoppers because they can use them to save money on categories for which coupons aren't typically available – like produce, meat, organic or local products.
- YourBucks® rewards are printed via the Catalina printer at checkout when the shopper buys the participating products.
"The launch of CouponNetwork.com is a direct result of feedback from the online couponing community" said Dick Buell, CEO of Catalina Corporation. "Shoppers are telling us what they want and we are listening."
The network's launch comes as consumers are looking to save money on their grocery bills and retailers are faced with customers buying fewer groceries.
"Customers are more value-conscious now than ever before. YourBucks provides them with the extra savings they are looking for, particularly during this challenging economy," said Karen Meleta, spokesperson for ShopRite.
The popularity of online couponing was recently confirmed in a shopper behavior survey by NCH, a global promotional marketing corporation owned by Valassis. The study's highlights included the following:
- More than 88 percent of consumers reported planning their shopping lists with coupons, up 10 percentage points from the pre-recession level.
- Thirty percent reported using more coupons today than in the prior year.
- Nearly one in three consumers reported being more careful about bringing their coupons to the store.
In the tradition of Catalina's precise marketing, customers also have the ability – once they are registered on CouponNetwork.com – to customize their store and brand preferences within their personal shopping profile. In this way CouponNetwork.com saves shoppers time in addition to money.
"Today's consumer expects a high degree of flexibility and control," said Karl Schmidt, Director of Promotional Marketing at General Mills. "CouponNetwork.com provides a cost-effective platform through which we can engage our consumers and offer them smart savings on the brands they want."
CouponNetwork.com, powered by Catalina, is an online marketing platform designed to connect a fast-growing crowd of bargain-minded shoppers with their favorite grocery retailers and brands. The site features printable online coupons and YourBucks® reward offers. YourBucks® Rewards are dollars-off coupons the consumers earn when they purchase participating products. Like cash, YourBucks® rewards can be used to purchase anything in the store – no minimums or restrictions.
